Spy at the State Space Agency of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the Ministry for Strategic Industries, uncovered another infiltrated Russian agent inside a Ukrainian state institution. The suspect, an official of a state internal agency, had access to classified information, sensitive satellite images, and strategic military-industrial data.
How the Agent Was Exposed
The SBU detained the official during an official ministerial meeting. Investigators confirmed that:
- he was recruited by the FSB in 2024;
- the recruitment occurred through his wife, who resides in Rostov-on-Don and cooperates with Russian occupation authorities;
- he received financial compensation from Russia;
- he planned to relocate to the Russian Federation in 2025;
- the SBU monitored him for months and documented all interactions with his Russian handlers.
Space Agency Worker Arrested for Espionage
The agent gathered and prepared for transfer:
- coordinates of military-industrial facilities;
- data on navigation systems produced in Ukraine;
- locations of backup command points;
- information on military warehouses;
- details on Ukrainian precision-strike production;
- classified satellite imagery of strategic objects.
This data would have significantly strengthened Russia’s military capabilities.
FSB Spy Inside Ukraine’s Space Agency
Instead of immediate arrest, the SBU used the agent as a controlled channel to feed disinformation to the enemy, protecting real Ukrainian assets and creating operational advantages.
