On October 16, the Anti-Corruption Center learned that the Supreme Court opened proceedings on the Anti-Corruption Center complaint in the case of Andriy Portnov to the .

Earlier, the ex-head of President Yanukovych’s Administration Andriy Portnov filed a lawsuit against the Anti-Corruption Center and “Focus”, demanding to recognize that he is “not a pro-Russian figure”. In the lawsuit, Portnov asked to recognize the publication of “Focus” with reference to the statements of the Anti-Corruption Center experts as unreliable, as well as one that “slanders his honor, dignity and business reputation.”

This is not Portnov’s first case against the Anti-Corruption Center. A few years ago, he also sued the Anti-Corruption Center, demanding to refute the information about his alleged involvement in criminal proceedings related to illegal enrichment. Then the Anti-Corruption Center won the case in the Supreme Court.
Currently, information on the opening of proceedings in the Supreme Court is available only in the “Electronic Court”. The Anti-Corruption Center is waiting for the decision to appear in the registry and continues to participate in the court process.
